Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mercy.
Intern
The interview was pretty standard and not too hard. It lasted about 30 minutes and was mostly behavioral questions. The questions were related to the job and the company's values.
- Can you share an instance where you delivered "excellent" service?
Student Assistant
They took the best care. I talked to 2 people. To overcome my excitement, they first started with simple questions. They then finished off by asking a few more questions.
- What initially sparked your interest in Electrical Engineering?
Intern
The interview process started with a phone screening that focused on "cultural fit" and other basic behavioral questions. Two people were on the call, and they were very personable, making the process feel much less robotic than other phone interviews I've had. Next, there was an in-person interview which was also very personable. It involved casual conversation to discuss my experience and expectations. Since this was for an intern position, it wasn't as intensive as an interview for a full-time role.
- Can you share an instance where you faced a challenge related to diversity?
