First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mercy.
Administrative
The team and process were great, and the company is very friendly. When you apply, there's an initial recruiter interview, then a call with leadership questions, followed by an in-depth onsite visit where you meet every leader in the hospital.
- What are your leadership strengths?
Administrative Assistant
A day or two after applying, I got an email asking me to start the interview by doing a questionnaire by text or email. It's multiple choice and you pick the best of 5 answers for the scenario. It's kinda easy but takes a bit. Right after I finished, I got an email and text saying I was invited to do a self-paced phone interview. You have 48 hours to do it and it takes about 15-20 minutes. I just finished it so I don't know what's next yet.
- What do you seek in an employer and what are your career aspirations?
- What are the top 3 qualities for success in a job?
- Regarding Mercy core values, can you elaborate?
Administrative Assistant
It was a group interview with 3 nurses and 1 other person. There were 7 questions that were easy and we went through them fast. It was over the phone. They said they would pass my info along, but since I'm a current employee looking to transfer, I expected transparency. They never called or emailed, and even when I reached out, they didn't bother to reply.
- What does being an administrative assistant mean to you?
