The whole process was super fast and efficient. I only had one virtual interview that lasted about 45 minutes with two people I'd be working with, and I got an offer by the end of the week. It was a really friendly and conversational interview, not too tough at all.

The communication before the interview was really good. The interview itself wasn't too tough, but the whole application process took a really long time. Two things really stood out: 1) The interviewers seemed totally checked out while I was talking, like they were looking at other screens. It felt awkward the whole time. 2) Then, just... silence. I'd been talking to this team for months and would have at least liked a rejection email. I had other offers and was waiting to hear back because Mercy Corps was my top choice. I just wanted the respect of knowing.

I found out about this internship through my university and sent in my resume and cover letter. I then went to the DC office for an interview later that week. It was a pretty standard interview that focused on my experience. Then, about 2 days later, I had another phone interview with my supervisor, which was shorter and ended with the offer.
