I had an interview with someone technical and someone from HR. We talked about my experience with proposal writing, the regions and sectors I'm familiar with, my availability regarding time zones and hours, and if I'm able to travel. They also asked about my approach to the proposal writing process.

Behavioral Presentation

This was a pretty standard interview process. It involved questions about my policy and advocacy experience. The role is heavily focused on advocacy, rather than policy analysis, so it was useful to draw on my experience with US government advocacy. There were about 3 rounds of interviews.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Describe how you'd approach communicating with an advocacy target whose priorities don't entirely match yours.

Behavioral

I had two interview rounds. First, a 45-minute HR screening, then a panel interview. They said they were hiring fast, but it took ages to hear back about the next step and they didn't reply when I asked for an update. Months later, I found out they cancelled the job, so it was a total waste of time.

  • Can you describe your previous work experience?
