The interview process included initial Zoom calls with Managing Directors due to the pandemic. There was also a writing test, a team fit meeting, and a delayed meeting with a senior person. Ultimately, I didn't receive a response. It seems the London office underwent a team relocation around that time. Looking back, I can understand the reasons for the process, despite it being a frustrating experience.

I was referred by someone internal. There was a bit of a delay, then the recruiter followed up. Another lengthy delay, then I interviewed with some senior staff. The interview was pretty conversational. The people I spoke with were really nice, professional, and smart. They asked mostly about my client relationships and how I bring in business. They didn't share much about the company or culture, but maybe that's because I was referred in? There was a small delay, and then they made a decision.

The process included two rounds of normal interview questions, which I thought went well. The hiring team then asked me to complete a timed writing assignment outside of work hours, which I completed. Mercury completely ghosted me after this point. This is rude regardless, but especially after asking me to invest time in a writing assignment.
