The interview process started with an HR Screen where they asked standard questions to check my eligibility. Round 1 was over an hour long and tested my business acumen and logic. Round 2 was an onsite interview, which was quite exhausting with back-to-back sessions. It involved testing my Excel skills, case calculations, fit questions, and finally, a presentation on the case summary followed by some questions.

It started with a 30-minute HR interview. Then, there was a 45-minute interview with someone from the Inhouse Consulting team. This interview included a 30-minute presentation of a case study, and only one person from the consulting team was there. The first 10 minutes were for introductions. I got the case study after the first interview and had a few days to get the presentation ready.

HR had fast and nice contact. The interview was scheduled for 30min but turned out to be 1h 10min including a case, as they thought I had already completed the 30min g2k. This was my second time interviewing at Merck, and my second bad experience. They seem very conservative, so it's better to act nerdy and tame! They didn't even propose the 'du'.
