First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mercer.
Intern
The process started with questions through the HireVue app. Then there was an interview with HR, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. It was a pretty straightforward interview. The HR interview focused more on behavioral aspects and aligning expectations, while the interview with the manager was more technical and covered previous experiences.

Intern
I sent in my application online, and then they gave me a call to schedule an interview. The people I interviewed with were nice and approachable. They wanted to hear about my experience and what skills I had that would fit with the project they were working on.
- Can you walk us through your background, essentially reviewing your CV?
Intern
After sending my resume, I got a HireVue invite within a few weeks. I had about a week and a half to complete it, which had five standard behavioral questions and allowed unlimited retries. They moved quickly to offer me a final interview, which I was surprised by since I expected a superday. It turned out to be a single 45-minute interview with two senior executives. A few days before this interview, the recruiter told me they had to withdraw the offer because I supposedly didn't submit my HireVue. After I emailed them, they corrected it, but it felt really disorganized. The actual interview was only 30 minutes and wasn't very productive. They spent a lot of time on minor resume details and responded to my answers with unenthusiastic remarks. They didn't even ask why I was interested in the company. The overall vibe was negative, and it felt like they'd already made a decision. I had to follow up with my recruiter two weeks later to find out I was rejected. The whole process was very disorganized and unprofessional.
