First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India.
Java Full Stack Developer
The interview was average. The panel should ask for your introduction and interests to gauge your fit. However, the panel had a mixed attitude, which I didn't appreciate. They won't ask for your introduction or interests, nor will they care about your extra achievements, like the chrome extension and VS code extension I built. They only ask 2-3 questions from your resume and judge you based on those answers. Initially, they schedule a 45-minute interview, but after just 2-3 questions, they'll end it by saying thank you.
- How can we modify the build in pom.xml?
- Explain Angular pipe.
Senior Java Developer
I got the interview call directly from company HR for a Senior Java Developer role. The requirement was for microservices. I had 3 rounds in total: 2 technical and one managerial. The first round focused mainly on microservices, and they also asked about my approach to designing a mobile application. The second round delved deeper into microservices, design patterns and principles, REST API, and core Java questions. After the technical rounds, I had a managerial round which went well, with some basic managerial questions. The HR then told me the decision was under discussion and they would let me know, but I never heard back from them.
- Can you explain what a Spring Boot microservice is?
- Describe the deployment structure for a microservice.
- What are some design patterns?
Java Developer
I got scheduled for an interview via a consultancy in Bangalore, and it took about 3 days to set up the 1:1 meeting at MRBDI. The whole process went pretty smoothly.
- Could you explain the difference between a Session Bean and other types of EJBs?
- Can you elaborate on Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) in detail?
- Describe a scenario where you would achieve a thread deadlock.
