Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India.
Product Design Engineer
The interview process included technical questions about your past projects, work experiences, and design skills. There were also behavioral questions focusing on teamwork, issues with past employers, your reasons for leaving previous roles, and how you handled challenging work situations.
- Can you discuss your previous projects?
- What about your past work experiences?
- What are your design skills?
Product Design Engineer
I was shortlisted from a job portal and called directly for a face-to-face interview. There were four rounds in total. Two rounds were conducted on one day, and another interview round was scheduled on a different day. So, two days went by, although I did gain some interview experience that I was already familiar with. The panel didn't provide any feedback for improvement. Overall, it felt like a waste of time and was quite demotivating.
- What are your expectations from Benz?
Product Design Engineer
I went through 4 rounds of interviews. The first was with a Senior Team member from a different team, so it wasn't very technical. The second round was with the Manager, and it focused more on my personal life to see if I'd stay with the Company long-term. The third round was with the HOD and another manager. The final round was with HR.
- What are your career aspirations for the next 5 years?
- Are you planning to stay in Bangalore for a significant period?
