Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mercedes-Benz International.
Sales
It was a pretty standard interview, they were nice and welcoming. They asked about my background, where I'm from, and if I've worked on teams or by myself. They also wanted to know if I'd ever sold technical stuff that needed me to know the product well.
- Have you ever sold cars or other types of technical products?
Sales Assistant
I had three interviews in total during the hiring process: first, a phone interview that lasted about 15 minutes, mainly to gauge how I speak and react in conversations and my English level. Second, I interviewed with the Sales Consultant I would be assisting for about 50 minutes, where we went through some of the job responsibilities. Finally, I had a 50-minute interview with the General Manager and Sales Manager, which involved more situational questions based on my past work experience, like 'can you describe...', 'can you give me an example..', and 'what would you do when....'.
- Can you describe a time you handled a difficult customer, perhaps from your experience as a waiter/waitress, and provide an example?
Sales Representative
The interview process was really organized and structured. My interviewer was super friendly, and they talked a lot about how there's plenty of room for development and career growth. I got to ask a bunch of questions about what the day-to-day tasks for the job would be. They were great, patient, and very friendly.
- What makes you a good fit for this role?
