Backend Developer
The whole process took about 2 months from the first contact until the offer letter. I had an initial chat, a test on HackerRank, an interview with the recruiter, an interview with the manager, and a technical interview with live coding.
- How would you structure a REST service?
Backend Developer
The process had 3 interviews: one with the Team Lead, another technical one, and one with Talent Acquisition. The first two interviews were quick, but then the process slowed down, taking 2 weeks to get a response. If I didn't ask, they didn't follow up. They finally asked for work references, contacted them, and then never contacted me again, not even to say I didn't get the job. Honestly, such a big company with so much disrespect for the time invested. Very disappointed.
- Could you tell me about your professional experience and studies?
- What was the topic of your undergraduate thesis?
- What programming languages are you proficient in?
Backend Developer
I was contacted on LinkedIn, and from there, an interview with the TA was scheduled. The whole process took about a month and a half. The stages are: 1) Interview with TA 2) Technical test 3) Technical interview 4) Interview with the manager 5) Check stage (references, feedback, ...) 6) Offer letter. Most of the process stages were interesting and fun, especially the technical interview, which was challenging (coding, planning architecture, and analyzing code, to put it briefly). It's worth noting that the interview, at least the one I had, wasn't the type where they ask a bunch of things and expect a verbatim answer, but rather a technical moment where they expect you to actually know what you're doing and try to exchange 'ideas' throughout. Awesome. The only thing I didn't really like about the process was in stage 4 (interview with the manager), at a certain point it turns into those very generic questions with a huge context and lots of answers, making it difficult to deal with them, but aside from that, it was a cool experience. No secrets, they expect you to know the programming alphabet! If you're working with backend, expect them to talk about algorithm complexity, data structures, databases, cache, algorithms, and similar things.
