Software Engineer
I had a technical interview, with basic and more specific questions for the Software Engineer role. This was for an internal, full-stack position. Covering from frontend to backend topics. The whole process lasted about half a month. They told me that even if I passed from one stage to the next, it didn't guarantee I would get hired.

The team lead contacted me to speed up the hiring process, as HR usually takes a while. First, I had an interview with the tech lead to introduce the project and work methodology. Then, an interview with the regional HR head to check cultural and company values fit. Next was a challenge, I think on HackerRank, with multiple-choice questions and a typical coding challenge – nothing too complex, but requires review. After that, a technical interview with a tech lead and an Engineering Manager covering basic questions on concurrency, scalability, optimization, databases, and a system design part where they present a case and ask how to achieve a specific goal. In my case, it was about using Redis to ease the main DB load, focusing only on Redis strategies, not DB scaling. I didn't reach the final stage, but I heard it involves an interview with stakeholders, followed by the offer. Salaries are in 3 tiers for Junior, Semi-senior, and Senior roles. Semi-senior was around 3.8 million gross, and seniors start at 4.5 million. All roles get an extra $250 monthly, seemingly tax-free, plus a MercadoPago credit for groceries and other rotating benefits.
- What would your code say about you if it could speak?
- Can you state two virtues and two flaws?
- What strategy could be employed using Redis to reduce database load for both writing and reading?

They first reach out via LinkedIn. After that, the People team sends you an email with the details for the recruiter interview, and we'll set a date and time. They'll also send over a contract about their policies and your data for you to accept.
- Tell me a bit about yourself.
- What was your work experience?
- What projects have you worked on?
