Analyst
First, there was a call with People, followed by a virtual meeting with People. Then, you had to reason through business cases and explain them to the interviewing managers and above. Finally, there were personal questions about your experience and why you're choosing the company. After that, a background check was initiated.
- Tell me about a tough work situation you successfully handled.
- How would you approach and explain business cases?
- Can you share some personal experiences that align with this position?

The interview experience for Mercado Libre was quite disappointing. They should really change their consulting firm because they treat candidates poorly. My first contact was with Catalina Lopez from Accenture via WhatsApp. She didn't tell me the position, just that she needed to call me for some questions. During the call, she was very unpleasant and arrogant. When I asked basic questions like what the position was or what the selection process entailed (how many interviews, steps, etc.), her response was 'you haven't passed the test yet.' I feel I should at least know the job conditions and the position to decide if I want to take a test. She never answered my questions throughout the process. It took her a month to tell me I passed and, to make matters worse, she admitted to ghosting me, justifying it by saying Mercado Libre hadn't responded to her. Then, a month later, she reappeared saying I had passed for the next interview. You wouldn't expect this from a company like Mercado Libre; it's more common in smaller companies that don't hire professionals. They shouldn't have abusive recruiters who disappear, don't respond, and act like they're doing you a favor.
- In Mercado Libre's case, what are the basic questions to understand your personality and experience, and then a business case to assess your reasoning skills?
- Regarding Accenture, there were two interviews. The first with Catalina Lopez was disastrously unprofessional and arrogant, asking questions you could have answered by reading my CV. She needs a lot of personal and professional training. The second interview, also with Accenture but with a different person, was excellent. She thoroughly explained the company, the position, and the benefits, just as it should be.
- What is the position you are offering me?
