I had my first interview with the hiring manager, and it went really well. It wasn't a rigid, scripted conversation, but more of a natural discussion. The subsequent round involved other leaders and a director from the team, and that felt very impersonal and rote. It seemed like they were just reading questions from a script and were quite unhelpful when I asked them anything. I'm actually glad I didn't get an offer because I would have turned it down. I just didn't see myself fitting in or wanting to work there.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The whole thing took about a month. It was a great learning experience with really nice people and the recruiter. It started with an external recruiter reaching out on LinkedIn because I showed interest. Then, a Meraki recruiter did a 30-minute HR screening with basic questions. After that, I had a 30-minute chat with the hiring manager about my past experience, behavioral stuff, and how I'd fit the role. Next up was a 2-hour case study with a panel focused on deal pricing and giving recommendations to sales reps. They asked for references from my previous job, which went fine, but I didn't end up getting an offer.

I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn about a Data Analyst position. When I checked their careers page, that role wasn't listed. I later got a rejection, but it was for an Analytics Manager role. The recruiter seemed really uninterested during our call, like yawning on the phone, and didn't let me ask any questions.
