The interview process was really well organized and easy to follow, making the whole thing smooth and nice. Every stage of the UX interview felt like it had a purpose and was designed to check how I think strategically and how I can actually do the work. The talks were deep but also clear – they really wanted to know how I solve problems, how I think about users, and how I handle unclear situations in real projects. What was cool was how much it felt like a team effort. It wasn't just them judging me, but more like a good conversation. They asked smart questions about why I made certain design choices, what I had to give up, and what the results were, which let me explain my thinking clearly from the start to the finish. Plus, everyone I met was super nice, open, and respectful. It felt comfortable enough to just be myself. All in all, it was a good experience that showed they have a strong UX vibe – they care about being clear, working together, and really thinking through designs.

Hiring process was super structured to what I have been attending in my entire 15 years of carrier. The recruiter first set the right expectations about the role and skills required for the job. This helped me to navigate 5 rounds of the interview smoothly and prepare accordingly as compared to the recent JD where the clarity of the skills required in candidate are so broadly mentioned. The interviews where very candid that helped me to clear 2 technical and 3 non-tech rounds. I highly appreciate the entire recruiting process.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I've been on the job hunt for about a year, applying to tons of places and doing lots of interviews with big names too, but none were as good as Menlo! The hiring process was super open and clear. The recruiter I talked to from the start was awesome, always checking in, making sure I knew everything about the process and what was coming next. They were really upfront about the offer and my choices, and just a great person to talk to – felt like we really connected. This good vibe continued through the 3 interview stages. The hiring team was really honest about the job itself, why they needed to fill it, and the problems they're hoping this role will help solve. I've never seen such a direct interview style; it didn't feel like they were just going through a script, but more like a real conversation. Menlo really sets a high bar for interviews!

Behavioral Technical Presentation Other

It was a really weird and frustrating interview. I felt compelled to write this review. I applied for a Mid-Market Sales role with 20+ years of experience in both Enterprise and Mid-Market sales. Since my past companies didn't have separate divisions, I talked about my Enterprise wins but made it clear that about 75% of the logos I closed were mid-market. The HR screener asked if I was okay with only mid-market accounts, and I said yes. The VP of Sales and I had a great chat, and I said yes again. Then, I had to do a 1-hour presentation, which they said went well. After that, I did a long assessment with over 50 calculus-like problems, which seemed like a lot for sales. HR told me I had one last interview with the CRO before an offer, and it was just a formality. But the whole CRO interview was about whether I really wanted a mid-market role, which I had already said yes to multiple times. The next week, they told me the CRO thought I was "overqualified". So, 7 interviews, a presentation, and a tough assessment, just to tell me at the end what they could have figured out way earlier. Everyone but the CRO was nice, but the whole thing was a waste of my time.
