Did an interview with HR, they kept me updated and offered help multiple times. After that, I interviewed with two managers. No technical stuff, just work experience questions. Then came the test. It was supposed to take 4 hours, but I'm pretty sure it would be impossible to finish. You need to solve some bugs and add functionalities to a codebase they provide. The tasks aren't detailed, so assume they expect more than they're telling you. They provide very useful feedback!

The interview process was pretty straightforward. The recruiter I spoke with was really helpful throughout. The final stage involved a mock cold call, for which I received the prompt beforehand. This was presented to the hiring manager and two senior staff members. Although I didn't get the job, I asked for feedback to help me improve for future interviews. I was told the only reason I wasn't selected was the lack of prior sales experience, despite the role being advertised as entry-level. I asked the recruiter to keep me in mind if the position became available again. About a week later, the role did open up, and I tried reaching out to the recruiter via LinkedIn and email, but received no response. Overall, the interview process was average, but the company's lack of transparency and feedback was surprising. I spent hours preparing for the mock cold call and interviews, only to be ignored after being told that prior sales experience was the only thing missing from my application.

The interview process kicked off with an initial chat with a recruiter, followed by a meeting with the Design Manager. After that, there was a portfolio review with some of the designers on the team. Then, I had a take-home assignment, and finally, a meeting for the 'Fit Procedure'. I got through to the third stage and was told I'd hear back by Friday, but it's now been two weeks with no updates. I've reached out to two recruiters and the hiring manager, but no response yet. Honestly, the whole hiring process felt really long, with no timely follow-up or feedback. The take-home tasks didn't really feel right for a senior role. Just getting an update is the least a company can do for candidates.

First, there was an HR screening, but salary expectations didn't align, so my interest waned. Surprisingly, I was invited to a first-round technical interview, which I decided to go through for the experience and feedback. I had a 1-hour interview with the current lead and manager, which went well. The next stage was a technical assignment, and they mentioned coding wasn't crucial but good to have. The assignment was sent immediately with a 10-day deadline. I completed it over the weekend; it wasn't overly complex. The plan was a technical design interview and a few more after that. However, after more than 10 days post-submission, I was informed they couldn't proceed. I'm not sure where it went wrong, but I'm happy another better opportunity is on the horizon. Good luck Mendix! Maybe consider adding an assessment part to your product for non-technical evaluators like HR.
