I went through a group interview for a new store location that wasn't open yet. It was my first interview, so I was anxious, but the questions were pretty standard. The job involves tasks like preparing yogurt, cleaning, and operating the cash register. The environment seems pleasant, though the stores often appear short-staffed. I also got the impression that prior experience in hospitality or customer service is highly valued, as the interviewer spent about 15 minutes discussing it.

I put in an application for Menchies online and they offered me an interview about thirty minutes after. The interview was alright. I had to wait around 20 minutes since the other candidate before me took quite a while. The store was going to open the next month. The owner and her daughter seemed nice but I felt like it was fake. The interview itself was about ten minutes and then she asked if I had any questions for them. She said she would let me know. She never did. After a week, I called her and she told me she had already contacted everyone she was going to hire.

It consisted of two interviews, first a group interview where general questions were asked, and we didn't have to answer everything if we didn't want to. Then, immediately after, I had a second interview (which was supposed to be 1-on-1 but was actually 4-on-1). I wasn't asked many questions, mostly about my availability. I haven't heard back yet if I got the job, but they said they would contact me soon.
