Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Menards.
Cashier
It was a quick interview, just a standard one. They do make you complete a survey that asks about drugs, stealing, and alcohol. The questions were mainly about you and what you bring to the company. I was out of there in about 15 minutes.
- What makes you want to work at Menards?
Cashier
It was a super easy process, just a 30-minute chat with someone from HR and the front-end manager. They asked about my past jobs and any experience I have as a cashier or with customer service.
- What are your interests?
- Tell me about your communication abilities.
- What is your previous job history?
Cashier
I was quickly put into a cubical and asked some typical interview questions. The main things they wanted to know were my availability and for how long I could work. Later, the HR person called me back for a one-on-one chat where they asked more standard questions and told me about the company.
- What are your plans for the next few years?
- When are you available to work and for how long?
