Office Assistant
So I wasn't planning on writing about this but honestly I feel I have to. Some people have mentioned before that their hiring process is super selective and I've now seen firsthand how much they seem to discriminate. It's not just racial discrimination, you can even check LinkedIn and see that most people working there are not minorities. They also discriminate against women. I looked on LinkedIn and saw that the two people who got the positions I applied for were both men who are still finishing their bachelor's degrees. I already have my bachelor's and have healthcare experience as well as other experience. The HR department is a joke; they didn't even have the courtesy to email or call me to let me know I didn't get the position, which was a month ago. Now, an HR person will probably write here about how they're an equal opportunity employer, sure, sure. The process involved a phone interview, then I met with the HR person (she was really sweet and nice). After that, I went to the main campus, and because the people who were supposed to interview me were busy, I ended up interviewing with whoever was available. They asked about 10 behavioral questions and took notes. We also discussed salary and the details of the position.

Administrative Assistant
I applied on-line and was quickly prompted to do an online assessment, which lasted 30 minutes. They scheduled me for a brief phone interview with an HR recruiter 2-weeks later and a face-to-face interview another week later. I interviewed with an HR recruiter who was very pleasant, but the program manager I interviewed with seemed very racist and biased towards me. The questions were difficult but luckily I was well prepared because I've received previous training on job interviews and body language assessments. After she realized that this young black girl was answering the questions so well she began asking me questions far beyond my field of study. I immediately picked up on what she was doing and her prejudice antics for discouraging me, but thank God I didn't get this position because I probably would of been stuck in another full time job with a bunch of racist white, slave driving managers who constantly manipulate the people of color and deny any form of promotion and career advancements. I hope they find the white girl they are looking for to fill this position. I was disgusted by that interview and they made me wait almost 2 months to tell me I didn't receive the job.
- Tell me about a time you forgot to complete an assignment and how you handled it.
- Can you explain whether you know how to develop a website or IT applications for computers?
Administrative Assistant
I got an email to set up a phone meeting with HR and spoke to someone for about 10 mins. About a week and a half later, I got another email asking for another interview. It was with a manager and was pretty straightforward. I was unfortunately not chosen to continue with the interview process, but everyone was super nice and I really enjoyed the experience.
