I applied online and heard back about 2-3 weeks later for a phone screen. The first call was with HR, about 30 mins, and they talked about the company and culture. It was mostly standard stuff like 'Walk me through your resume' and 'Why MSK?'. Then I had a second phone screen with someone from the team. This one was more open, we talked about the team structure and role challenges. They also asked questions about my data analysis and querying knowledge. I had to back out because I got another offer, but the interviews felt really open and professional. They both made me feel pretty comfortable.

The talent acquisition recruiter reached out for a phone screen to discuss my background for the role I applied to and other open roles. The recruiter said it went well and there would be a follow-up with the hiring manager, but I never heard back and it’s been months of silence. Super unprofessional. Good thing I found out before I invested more time. No thanks on working there with that kind of nonsense.

The interview process was pretty long. It started with a phone interview, then I had a first interview with the direct managers and a second interview with more senior staff. They extended an offer after checking my references. After the offer, there was still a background check, medical clearance, and drug testing. For the medical clearance, a TB test is required. So if you get to the reference stage, I'd suggest having two TB tests done already.
