First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Meltwater.
Sales Associate
Had a few rounds, first some questions got emailed. Then there were 2 online assessments, one for personality and one for logical thinking. After that, there was a demo where I had to sell the product to a fake client. They asked me questions about the product and its features.
- What makes you want this job?
- Can you elaborate on your interest in this position?
Sales Associate
I was recruited for a group interview at a university. I was sat in front of a panel of 6-7 people along with 15 others. Very intimidating vibes and all the panel would rave about was drinking wine with their work buddies. Something was off about the experience and I felt uncomfortable and purposefully put in a position to fight for my life. I sensed an unhealthy culture within our 3 hours of interviewing and was glad that I didn't get an offer back. I came home after the interview and read all the reviews on glassdoor and they were spot on about the interview process. READ reviews before you ENTER an interview with this company! Glad I got out of that situation. Phew!
- Can you tell us about a challenge you've faced and how you overcame it?
- Please introduce yourself.
Sales Associate
I talked to a recruiter at a career fair and the company seemed cool. Then I got invited to interview in NYC pretty quickly, so I didn't have much time to prep. We had to fill out this super long questionnaire that felt like a summer camp thing. The job seemed like selling a Google Analytics-type product, mostly cold calling, and the pay was low. The team was young and people got promoted fast. They shut down my questions about moving outside of sales. The interview had 16 candidates in one room with 4 interviewers. We all had to do short presentations to the group. It felt like a popularity contest.
- What drives you?
