Implementation Manager
This was a long interview process with many interviews that felt like they led nowhere. Some interviews with senior management were just small talk. I didn't like the process overall. They also didn't properly answer some of my questions, just giving vague responses.
- Could you roleplay as an Implementation Manager to show how good you are at the job?
Manager
I usually don't leave reviews, but this was one of the strangest and most unprofessional interviews I've had. It'll make me think twice about recommending Meltwater tools. It's a warning for future interviews: don't interview with companies that don't explain the process or salary upfront and don't involve HR. This is odd because other candidates mentioned they did. The role I was contacted about was different from the one I applied for; they thought I'd be a better fit for this other role. It started with a 30-minute phone call, then I sent work samples, followed by a 2-hour in-person interview where I presented my work and gave ideas. I noticed HR wasn't involved and the process wasn't explained. I asked about the process, salary, and start date, but was told these answers aren't given until later, near the offer stage. This seemed strange for what appeared to be a senior position, but I continued. I thought the in-person interview went well and was told the next step was meeting a senior director. After a week of no response, I followed up for feedback on the next meeting and was told I wasn't selected as a candidate, with no reason given. In my 10 years of experience, I've rarely felt I wasted my time in an interview, but this was definitely one of those times.
- Can you tell me about a tough client situation you faced and how you handled it?
Management Trainee
We started with group interviews where we had to introduce ourselves and share a personal achievement. Then there was a group task to sell Meltwater products to a chosen company and a presentation on our passion. After lunch, the individual interview was focused on a cold calling roleplay, discussing our resume and experiences, and measuring our qualities against Meltwater's criteria (like greatest failure, resilience, drive, and recent business news). They mentioned they test our networking skills, so talking about ourselves and asking questions is key. The whole process included a background check.
- What is your weakness?
- What are you most passionate about and convince us why it is your passion?
- Role playing, this can vary but the main idea is to see how you deal with little information and how to handle objections?
