Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Meltwater.
Analyst
The interview process included a lot of questions about work situations. They asked how I'd handle different scenarios, manage relationships with coworkers, my approach to working, and how I handle deadlines.
- Tell me about a time you faced a specific work scenario and how you handled it.
- How do you approach working with your colleagues?
- Describe your typical working style.
Analyst
Had a phone call with HR, then an interview with two group managers. They asked basic questions. Next, I went to an office happy hour with employees and other applicants. Then I had another interview with the same managers and a manager from another office. It felt like they didn't trust my abilities as a female and didn't believe I could have tough conversations, even though I had more experience than others. I felt like they had already made up their minds.
- Can you share a weakness you have that isn't a common response?
Analyst
The hiring process had 3 rounds. First was an audio call with HR, followed by two Zoom video calls with the team manager/leader. The whole thing took about 3-4 weeks. The questions were pretty standard, asking about my previous jobs, my reasons for taking those roles, and my understanding of Meltwater and the position itself.
- Do you think you would find this job monotonous?
- Can you share what you enjoyed most about your previous work?
- What did you find least enjoyable about your past roles?
