Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Melaleuca.
Financial Analyst
It was 3 back to back interviews from different people in the finance department. They all seemed to be asking similar things, trying to get to know me. It was nice though, everyone was very kind and really tried to know me and my skills. After 2 hours of interviews, they gave us a tour. I wish this wasn't the last thing, especially since I wasn't offered the job. They did give me a gift bag at the end, which was very nice. They didn't get back to me about my application status for 3 weeks, even though they said it would take a week. I had to ask for an update and then got a rejection letter right away.
- Can you discuss your overall experience?
- Can you tell me about your internship experience?
- What are your three biggest accomplishments?
Finance Analyst
It was a really thorough process. I interviewed onsite with four different people. After the interviews, they took me out for a nice lunch. They even arranged for me to go with a realtor, which was a cool perk. The only slightly odd thing was that the tour felt a bit awkward.
- Can you share an instance where you had to influence a decision and describe how you accomplished that?
Financial Analyst
I went in for an on-site interview that had 4 interviews, each 30 minutes long, plus a 12-minute test. The interviewers were nice and it seemed like a good learning experience, but the company seemed disorganized. I was told I'd hear back in a month, but after waiting longer and following up with HR, I was ghosted with no explanation for not getting the job. I only found out I didn't get the financial analyst internship when another HR rep contacted me about a different role on another team. This then led to a month of slow communication and eventually an interview for a role that turned out to be tedious, unrelated work.
- What questions would you ask if other teams proposed rebranding a product in a specific month during a meeting?
