First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Meezan Bank.
Credit Risk Analyst
There were about 3 to 4 interviews. Overall, it was a good experience, though there was some waiting time for the interview and the HR wasn't very responsive. The interview itself was straightforward, mostly asking about life experiences and basic finance-related questions.
- What motivates you to join Meezan?
Trainee
So, the whole process started with a panel interview. After that, I had a written test covering general knowledge, math, a short note section, number series, and word problems. Then, I received a call for the final interview, which was conducted by the head of Consumer Finance. This final interview was quite in-depth, covering my family background, education, and overall knowledge. Following that, an employee from CA conducted another test. This test involved analyzing financial statements, using Excel, and answering various questions like 'why ACCA', 'qualities of a good ACCA', basic and advanced accounting knowledge, calculating depreciation, understanding gain/loss on disposal, and accounting entries. It was a really great experience overall, and I got an email about the orientation.
- Could you please explain financial statements?
- What is your understanding of the Quick ratio?
- What is the Current ratio?
Intern
They started with a 5-10 MCQ test. Then there was a short 2-minute intro interview followed by a 1-hour test. Even though I did well on the test, I never heard back. There were no more internship postings either. It felt like a waste of time since they didn't even inform candidates if they got the internship.
- Please introduce yourself.
- Could you complete a one-hour test?
BSO Agent
The interview process wasn't very difficult. Although I had to wait during the group interview for more than four hours because of the huge number of candidates in the pool that were called together, the one on one interviews went smoothly. The interviewers were quite helpful and would answer any questions that you might have. They'll also guide you through the JD and whats expected of you. To anyone who's applying, goodluck!
- Do you own a vehicle?
- Are you able to meet the targets?
- What would be your strategy for achieving the targets?
