Media Planner
The process was super fast. I applied on LinkedIn and heard back from the recruiter in less than an hour. We did a quick phone screening, and then I was contacted the next day to set up an interview. The team seemed really great and friendly. It's a bummer I didn't get the offer because I had a good feeling about the work environment. I think the feedback will probably be ready in a few days. Even though it didn't work out, the recruiter was really supportive and said they'd look for other roles that fit my profile.

Media Planner
A recruiter reached out to me about an Assistant Media Planner job. I was interested but concerned about the low salary offered. The recruiter seemed pushy, focused on commission, and even criticized my experience as not aligning with the role, which was confusing since they contacted me. I then had a Skype interview with two managers and a Media Planner from the department. I prepared by researching Mediacom and their clients, which impressed them. The interview was short, about 20-25 minutes, and very relaxed. Afterwards, the recruiter called, I said it went well, and he promised an update early the next week. However, I never heard back from anyone. It was frustrating, feeling like my time was wasted. I suggest Mediacom and GroupM improve their hiring process to better find and keep good talent. Job seekers should stay aware and proactive with recruiters and interviewers.
- What do you like to do in your free time?
Media Planner
The whole application process was very disappointing. It started with a chemistry call, then a presentation interview, and then 2 more chemistry meetings with different teams because apparently the role I applied for first was going to be filled internally. Their in-house recruiters were unable to manage the whole process from the beginning until the end, including lack of communication between the parts involved and managing expectations poorly. I wasn’t expecting that decision as the conversations I had with Mediacom recruiters and the different teams were more towards closing an agreement. What surprised me even more is the quality of feedback given after 4 interviews which I don’t think I deserve. Not professional at all.
- What value can you bring to the team?
