People and Culture Specialist
This was probably the worst experience I've had interviewing. The interview was rescheduled twice and the interviewer came late. They cut me off and I felt like they didn't want to talk to me at all, it felt super rushed. In the job description it was marketed as a place to grow your career and learn new skills but they just wanted someone with event planning experience and was able to do the "tedious" tasks she kept mentioning. Even before I received a rejection or offer I was dead set on not following through as I would not want to work in a place that I didn't feel supported or respected.

Software Developer
This is a young organization, so the interview process was what you might expect from people who haven't done many interviews. After a phone screen, I met with the Dev Mgr, CTO, and a Developer. The CTO (who is in his mid-20s) and the other developer did most of the talking, which is a red flag in an interview. I found it hard to relate my experience to their points because they were talking so much. The technical interview was pretty standard and focused on recursion. The questions were straight out of a college CS textbook, so brush up on your algorithms. Also, read the company reviews to understand what current employees and owners think, and take it seriously.

- Determine if a given set of words are anagrams of each other.

I put in my application online with my resume and some other stuff. About a week later, they sent me an email asking some normal questions, like the ones below. After I sent the email back, they reached out to set up a phone interview/screen, which was about a week after I sent the email. The phone interview lasted around half an hour and covered typical questions with someone who wasn't going to be on my team. After that phone chat, I heard back with a decision about a week later.
- What motivates you to want to work at this company?
- Could you share some information about your side projects?
- What are your compensation expectations?
Customer Service Representative
I applied online directly through MedBridge's website after researching the company. I sent in several applications and was contacted by their HR team to set up a phone interview. After the initial 30-minute interview, I was asked to come in to their main office to meet with my direct supervisor and account management. That interview lasted about an hour. I was then given a series of exercises to complete and then I returned for a final 2.5-hour interview where I presented my solutions to the exercises to a panel. The interview process was organized and well designed. The presentation aspect really allowed me to vet the company and vice versa. Everyone I met with was communicative and professional.
