The interview process was unique and enjoyable. I got to meet multiple team members, which I appreciate. Since I'm remote, all interviews were via video conference. Rounds included an initial phone screen by a colleague, two 1-hour follow-up interviews, a discussion with HR, a 1-week Medallia challenge, and a final round with three 1-hour discussions. Everyone seemed very invested and took the time to answer my questions, making me feel welcome to their culture. It felt like a more human way of interviewing, and the company seems to have its heart in the right place. The process left a very positive impression and was a big reason I accepted the job.

Applied and heard back from a recruiter a few weeks later for a quick, overly promising call. The process was explained as two separate 30 min calls: one with the team Manager and a tech test. Then got an email with benefits to confirm acceptance, which I did. A week passed, then another, and I got an email out of the blue to sign an NDA and got connected with a 3rd party for scheduling the next meeting. When I spoke with the manager, the role wasn't what I thought, and this 30 min call was actually a 1-hour call meant to be both the formal interview and tech test, which was surprising as I wasn't prepared for a tech test.

The interview had 4 parts: first, a quick call with the recruiter. Second, an in-person meeting with about 3-4 peers. Third, a 24-hour take-home test called the Medallia Challenge, which took me longer than expected. Fourth, another in-person meeting with 3-4 senior managers. The recruiter was usually responsive, but working with a few different recruiters made it a bit confusing, and I wasn't sure if all my information was passed along. The Jobvite system was a bit strange and unclear who I was emailing. I didn't know much about Medallia's industry at first, but everyone I met there, for interviews or just to ask questions, was impressive, prepared, smart, empathetic, professional, and nice, making me really want to work there.
