First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MDPI.
Production Assistant
HR called me to discuss salary, schedule, and location details. Then, I had a video call with HR who went over the company's operations and my expected duties. It was a really relaxed chat, and the HR rep was super friendly. Towards the end, we chatted in English to check my language abilities. The next thing was supposed to be a job assessment, but I never got the invite for that.
- Would you be willing to commit to full-time work solely from the office?
Production Assistant
It was a single round interview with questions that made me think. The interviewer mainly asked general and deep questions about my personal life, background, career goals, and my pros and cons. I felt like I could assess myself during the interview.
- On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your ability to do this job, and can you explain why?

The interview process felt pretty standard. Initially, there were a few interviewees which was a bit unusual, but they were all pleasant and approachable. HR kept me well-informed throughout the entire process via calls and emails, which was really helpful for my preparation.
