Applied online with my resume and cover letter. The recruiter reached out for an initial phone screening. The call with the recruiter was about 20-30 mins and she gave me a great deal of information on the position and how the company is growing the new Chicago office. After passing the phone screening, I had an in-person interview with hiring manager at the new Chicago office. She was very lovely and we had a great conversation about the company and the excitement about how it's growing and she shared with me the details of the position and what they are looking for. Ultimately, I did not get an offer but it was an overall very good experience and I wish the company much success in the Chicago market!

The interview process had three parts: first, I answered some written questions, then I talked to the HR Manager, and finally, I had a chat with the Director of PR. Everyone was really nice, but honestly, the whole thing took way too long. It was like a whole month before I found out I didn't make it to the next stage, which felt a bit like I was being strung along. It was kind of weird that the PR Director hadn't heard of my previous agency, which is a pretty big deal and has some really famous advisors. She seemed nice though. The HR Director is also great, she actually keeps in touch and gets back to you, which I really appreciate because so many HR people just ghost you these days. The salary they were offering seemed pretty low for an agency job, you could definitely find more elsewhere. I'm not sure why I didn't get picked to move forward, some feedback would have been good. Overall though, it was a better experience than most.

Started with a phone interview with HR. Then had 2 in person interviews and also a marketing test. The phone and first in person interview went well, but the last in person one was not great. The interviewer was late and in a bad mood. She read questions from her computer and seemed uninterested. It was hard to talk with her because she didn't seem to care. I had submitted my test early so she could review it. At the end, she asked if I submitted my test, and I said yes, 2 days ago. I liked the company and the first interviews, but the last one really turned me off. I didn't get an offer, but I would have declined anyway.

The interview process started with a phone screen, followed by an in-person meeting at their office in Banker's Hill, Downtown SD. Honestly, if you're a competent copywriter or content writer, I'd say skip this place. During my interview, I inquired about the Creative Director and who was in charge of the creative department. The interviewer gave me a strange look and directly stated, 'The Account people make the final decisions on creative here. Do you have a problem with that?' My immediate thought was 'RED FLAG!!', but I just smiled and nodded, saying, 'Oh, I see.' This is not how genuine ad/marketing/PR agencies operate, which is what I've experienced. As I left, I called the recruiter and told them, 'nope...'
