The nursing director from the unit got in touch maybe a day or two after I sent my application in. We scheduled an in-person interview, or a Zoom one if I preferred, for the following week. Pretty soon after that, HR reached out to get my references.

Had a quick chat with HR first, then a pretty chill virtual meeting with the hiring manager. They asked about my past roles and my motivation for joining this company. The hiring manager seemed to have really looked at my resume and came up with specific questions based on it.

I first chatted with a hiring manager, and then had a second chat with the position supervisor. The interview was on Zoom, and it felt like a casual conversation. The questions were set up to let me show how I'd be a good fit for the role, not to trick me. The interviewer was professional and knew their stuff, and made sure I got answers to all my questions. All in all, it was a good experience.

The interview process at McLean's is really thorough, but it takes a while to get through. There were four interview rounds spaced out over four weeks. Communication from the hiring team was fast, so I always knew what was happening. It's just that the interviews were far apart, which made the whole process lengthy before getting an offer. It was a really detailed process, though, and I think it's good for candidates because you get to really understand the role, the organization, and the team.
