Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at McLarty Associates.
Intern
It was a pretty standard interview process. They usually give you a writing assessment where you have to research and write a short report on a specific subject. You'll have about an hour to complete it.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Intern
You start with a take-home exam that usually takes about an hour. If you do well on that, you'll then have an interview with two interviewers where they'll ask regular interview questions like walking through your resume, your interest in the job, and your relevant skills and experience.
- What makes you want this job?
Intern
First, there was a writing test, then I interviewed with people from the department. They asked me questions about the region, like the biggest trade sectors and areas, and also about my research methods. It wasn't a bad interview overall.
- Besides news, what other resources do you utilize to stay informed about the region, such as consulting field experts?
