First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at McLarty Associates.
Graduate Fellow
The interviewer asked questions about my resume and experiences, but from the beginning, they seemed uninterested in actually giving me a chance to interview for the role I applied for. I didn't have enough experience for the role supposedly, but then why bother wasting time with an interview.
- Can you tell me about the xyz experience you had and what your responsibilities were there?
Intern
It was a pretty standard interview process. They usually give you a writing assessment where you have to research and write a short report on a specific subject. You'll have about an hour to complete it.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Graduate Fellow
The process kicks off with a 2-hour timed writing assessment, where you'll basically write a research policy memo. After that, they'll schedule interviews with people on the team.
- Were you following any market trends in the team's region?
Associate
The process was quick and easy, involving two interviews: one with two associates/entry-level people and another with the director in charge. I got my offer in under a week after the first interview. The questions were pretty standard.
- What global risks are associated with the practice you'd be working in?
