I had a chat with the General Manager and the HR Manager. They were both really nice and made me feel comfortable. They asked me some questions and took notes on my answers.

Got a call to set up an interview for the next day. I got there early and let security know I was here. Ended up waiting in a small glass vestibule on a rug until someone came to get me. Was taken to a small, not-so-great room with just a table. Two managers interviewed me, asking typical questions, but it felt like they were trying to make me nervous about the workload. They really emphasized multitasking and made the job sound really unappealing. One manager even asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, which was pretty offensive and unprofessional. They also mentioned that promotion is only possible with a degree. A few days later, I got a call and they offered me the job. I asked for an extra $.50/hour because of my experience, and they said they'd need to ask the president. I was already taking a pay cut of $2/hour from my last job. After two days of waiting, they called back to say they couldn't approve the extra $.50. HR did say I'd get the standard 2% raise after a year though. I got a really bad vibe from the place, which is a shame because I was hopeful.

I had an interview with two supervisors who have been with the company for 25-31 years. I thought the interview went great and I was more than qualified. They complimented me a lot during the process. I felt like I would be a good fit for the company. Things started changing at the end of the interview when the two managers started to bad mouth the previous interview candidates and gave me some examples of how horrible their current employees were. I must have looked shocked because one said "we shouldn't be telling you all of this." I guess they felt comfortable with me. I'm disappointed because I had high hopes for this position.
