First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at McCabe, Weisberg & Conway.
Customer Development Representative
Different rounds with various types of interviews. First, a conversation with HR and the sales manager. Then, IQ and EQ tests. A role-playing exercise. And finally, a meeting with the direct supervisor. It's an intense process with many parts to the application.
- What motivates your interest in this position?
Law Clerk
I applied online via LinkedIn and got an email from the HR person asking for a time for a phone interview. The phone interview was mostly about my background, qualifications, and experience. They invited me for an in-person interview 1-2 days later. The in-person interview was a panel interview. The HR person met me and took me to a conference room where two attorneys and the HR person interviewed me. It was a really easy interview with no hard questions.
- What makes you interested in our firm?
- Can you explain your qualifications for this role?
- Tell me about a time you disagreed with your superior and how you handled it.
Legal Assistant
The interview was pretty straightforward and short. They often asked leading questions and seemed to want you to answer them. The interviewer paid attention and asked practical things like if I could handle the job, what my commute would be like, and what I expected from the work. Turnover is high, which I think makes them hire more relaxed, so lots of smart grads get in.
- Can you tell me about your previous office experience?
- Do you have experience with foreclosure or an understanding of the foreclosure process?
- Could you explain your experience working as part of a team?
Attorney
I interviewed with three attorneys at the firm, one of whom was a shareholder. They asked several questions during the interview. The firm is mostly interested in my prior foreclosure experience. They will do a background check after making an offer.
- Could you describe your general level of professionalism?
- How efficiently can you work?
- What is your prior foreclosure experience?
