First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at McAfee.
Technical Support Engineer
Applied while still part of Intel. About 2 months after applying, a recruiter reached out. Had an initial screening call, followed by a phone interview with several team members. The phone interview was mostly standard technical questions. A week later, I was invited for an in-person interview to see the facility and answer some more behavioral and technical questions. The overall experience was great.
- How would you troubleshoot a customer's internet connectivity issues?
Technical Support Engineer
Got an email from HR recruiter asking basic networking questions, which was unusual since they usually call first to discuss the job. The questions were simple. I replied and a few days later got an email saying the hiring manager would contact me for a technical interview. I never got that call or email. Really unprofessional, I wouldn't recommend this company.
- Fundamental networking queries

There were 2 interviews. The first was a chat to check if your past experiences and salary expectations fit the position. The second was a technical interview with 2 Senior Technical Support Engineers, one fluent in English and the other in your native language. Both were conducted over the phone.
