Project Manager
Recruitment process in 3 steps: RH phone interview, interview with a senior manager via video, and an in-person interview with a partner. The first two steps went really well, I got great feedback from HR. But when I came in for the in-person partner interview, I quickly realized my profile wasn't what the partner was looking for. They debriefed me afterward, saying I was too marketing-oriented and they were looking for more "information system" profiles. It would have been better not to have me go through the interviews since my CV hadn't changed between stages.
- How can you connect your experiences to this role?
Project Assistant
The process involved 3 interviews in total. First, a meeting with HR, then a meeting with the direct manager, and finally a meeting with a more senior manager. There were no tests conducted. Throughout the process, I was in contact with an HR representative who asked questions about my motivation, interests, and appetite for the role.
- What makes you interested in this specific position?
- What are your reasons for wanting to join this particular company?
Project Manager
It was a smooth and pleasant recruitment process that went through 4 steps: First, a phone call with an HR person to introduce the firm and check if my profile aligned with mc2i's values. Second, a video call with a senior manager where I presented my past experiences and showed my motivation to join the firm. Third, another video call with an associate Unit Director to better envision the future and discuss my career goals. At the end of this call, I was asked to complete some online questions. Fourth, a final in-person interview at mc2i's headquarters with a Unit Director to confirm mutual interest. Throughout the process, the HR contact provided great follow-up, regularly contacting me to share feedback from my interviewers. Shortly after the final interview, I received a very attractive collaboration offer, which I accepted. Beforehand, it's advisable to research the firm using available resources like their website, social media, and podcasts, which offer valuable interview tips.
