Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MBH Architects.
Designer
The interviewers were informative, positive, and realistic. They maintained open communication and were cohesive, with both HR and managers present. The process seemed organized and relaxed, but lacked details on technical logistics and salary.
- Tell me about a time you dealt with stress in a previous role.
Designer
The interview process included a phone interview, an interview at the office, and then a Revit/CADD test. The most difficult part is the test, which they give you a list of tasks to alter on an existing floor plan that you get 1 hour to complete. They don't expect you to finish, but the more you correctly complete the better.
- How do you motivate those around you?
Junior Designer
The interview was super chill and the people were really into their work and clear about what they wanted. It felt casual but the portfolio review was helpful. After the interview, there was a CAD test.
- Can you tell us about your passion for architecture?
- Describe your educational background.
- Walk us through your work experience.
