First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MBDA.
Graduate Engineer
It was a mix of personality and technical questions. They asked stuff about programming and basic physics. The personality part covered my motivation, why I wanted to join the company, and my interest in the role.
- Can you explain how to determine the velocity of an object launched into the air?
Graduate Engineer
The interview process was pretty standard, starting with CV submission, followed by a personality test, a recorded interview, and an online assessment centre. It was good that I could apply to three roles, as I initially got rejected from one but was then contacted for a final interview for a different role.
- Can you explain the components of an RF seeker?
Graduate Engineer
Applied in Jan 2021. Went through some online tests and then got invited to an assessment day. The interview process was pretty easy overall. It included a series of group discussions and problem-solving activities, followed by a 1-on-1 chat with a department member. Also had some individual online tasks to do, which is where things really went wrong. For a technical role, it seemed like no one knew how to use tech. One interviewer was really rude to another colleague, which made me question if the job was even worth it given the culture. There were big problems with the interview setup and the login/recording systems, meaning none of our interviews were recorded. We were told we'd have to redo it another day, even though we'd already spent hours on it. Tried to reschedule the recorded interview right away but was told that also didn't work and they'd get back to us. They never did, and it seems they were too lazy to fix the issues. I asked for updates and feedback but was ignored. It was a train wreck and very unprofessional from a company I once had high hopes for.
