First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mayer Brown.
Associate
It started with a screening with two attorneys, then there was a multi-hour rotation where I interviewed with one or two attorneys in each block. The interviews felt pretty conversational and were as much about them describing the firm to me as they were about them asking me questions.
- What practice areas of law interest you?
Associate
I had one interview with a partner, and they asked a bunch of behavioral questions. It was a really nice conversation with a partner who knew a lot about the area of law I work in.
- Why did you relocate to the UK?
Summer Associate
I first went through the on-campus recruiting program and had a screening interview that lasted about 30 minutes. Then I got a call to go fly to the office in New York for in-person interviews on-site. I had about 4 interviews with different people, and then lunch interviews. The whole process took about 4 hours or so. I received a call with news that I had gotten an offer about a week later.
- Why are you attending law school?
