Maybank's interview process is pretty thorough. It starts with HR screening, then moves to technical assessments, and later they check for cultural fit with case studies, and finally, there are interviews with senior leaders.

It had 5 stages, not counting the first application. Stage 1 was a virtual hangout to explain the GMAP programme and what to expect. It's a good idea to prepare questions for them. Stage 2 involved online games, with a tough math one and some easier logic puzzles. There was also a personality quiz; checking Maybank's values beforehand is recommended. Stage 3, the Assessment Centre, was the hardest, testing logic, leadership, teamwork, observation, and grit through various challenges. Being active and contributing to the team is key. Stage 4, Social Xchange, was a chance to chat with other Maybankers. It's an opportunity to learn about Maybank and what you can offer. Showing enthusiasm and asking questions is important, and it felt like a casual chat. Stage 5, the Career Conversation, was more personal, focusing on how you can contribute and what you know about the company. They might mention other roles, which is fine.

The whole process was really smooth, and the interviewers were super friendly and easy to talk to. The final interview was mostly about my past experiences. The technical interview really focused on Javascript and React. It only took about 15 days from when I applied to when they made a salary offer. Everyone there is very efficient.
