I interviewed at Maybank's Bangi Training Centre for the RMDP. First, there was a group assessment with 5-6 candidates where we got a mock client scenario and had to come up with a financial solution. This tested teamwork, communication, and presentation skills. Then, I had a panel interview with four senior Maybank staff who asked behavioural and situational questions about my background, my motivation for joining the program, and how I'd manage client situations.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

First, you send in your resume and a cover letter. Then, HR checks out all the applications and does a quick chat, either by phone or video, to see if you meet the basic requirements and seem like a good fit. After that, there's an interview with HR or the hiring manager where you'll talk about your past work, your abilities, and what you've done. Sometimes, they'll give you a task, a test, or a project that's related to the job to see how you handle it. Then, you'll have a more detailed interview, likely with people on the team or higher-ups, to check out your technical skills and see if you'd fit in with the company culture. They'll also check your references to confirm your past performance and qualifications. The last interviews might involve top executives to help make the final call. If everything goes well, you'll get a job offer with details on pay, benefits, and other conditions. You might then negotiate the offer before accepting it. Once you accept, the onboarding starts to get you settled into the company.

Group Behavioral Presentation

The interview process had 2 tasks: first a group assessment, and second a face-to-face interview. Before the sessions start, they will brief you about the program first. For me, the challenging part was the face-to-face interview. There will be 6 to 8 people on the panel in front of you, and you must impress them with why they should choose you.
