First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Maybank.
Graduate Trainee
The assessment center was really fun as it was in the form of a game, and it done in a way that was really engaging, interactive, and enjoyable. The actually interview process was in an online call and the interviewers were nice.
- What is your connection to the banking industry?
Graduate Trainee
So before the actual online interview, they made me do this assessment thingy that I had to submit the same day. Then, the week after that, I had like a 45 minute chat with some of the senior folks on the team.
- Can you explain your major to the interviewers?
- Tell me about your past internship experiences.
- What are your thoughts on Maybank's M25+ strategies?
Graduate Trainee
The interview process for this role is quite extensive and involves multiple stages. Some stages, like the individual and group assessments, can feel subjective. For instance, even if you perform well individually and in a group, your chances might be diminished if your group as a whole doesn't stand out. While this could be seen as a collaboration aspect, I found the assessment methods and the evaluations by the assessors, who are often graduate trainees themselves, to be unclear.
