The whole thing took about 6 weeks from the first time the recruiter reached out until they sent the offer. There were 2 interviews. First was with the hiring manager, then I met with some of the team members I would have been working with. I didn't end up taking the job because of the timing (I had already accepted another offer) and also because the job was advertised as remote, but the offer letter said something different. I asked about it and they said I'd have to come into the office sometimes on an 'as needed basis'. I wasn't a fan of how vague 'as needed' was.

So I first interviewed on campus back in August. I was told I'd hear back in a couple of weeks for an on-site in Reston, but after trying to follow up, I just gave up. Then in March, they reached out again. We went back and forth a lot via email, and they promised me three interview dates, but they canceled each one just days before, and then finally scheduled it. I went to the office and met with three people. The first two were okay, but the third one was really bad. He just stared at my resume, repeated stuff on it without asking anything, hardly looked at me, and when I tried to talk, he mostly ignored me. Then he looked up and asked why I was even there, and said he didn't think I was interested in health work, even though I majored in public health. The whole HR situation was a preview of how the rest of the company acted, but it was even worse than I thought. If working there full-time is like this interview, it would be a terrible place to work.
