Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Maximus.
Analyst
The hiring process was pretty straightforward. It involved two main stages: first, a call with a recruiter, and then a conversation with the hiring manager. The whole thing wrapped up in about two to three weeks. After the second interview, they offered me the job pretty quickly and gave me a week to consider it.
- Can you share some details about your background and experience?
Analyst
It was a nightmare. Multiple interviews with weeks in between contacts from recruiter. This company puts you through several rounds of interviews as if they have the upper hand. The VP is cold and unwelcoming.
- Why are you qualified for this role?
Analyst
We started with an initial screening with the recruiter. I then went in for a face-to-face interview twice. The recruiter was very helpful and available for support. They asked normal industry questions, nothing too difficult but also nothing too easy. They didn't ask basic questions like strengths and weaknesses, focusing more on skill set.
- What motivates your interest in this role?
