I sent in my resume to a recruiter on campus. About two weeks later, they got in touch with me for an interview. I thought it went really well, and they said I'd hear back in a week. But, they never did, and even after I reached out two more times, I still didn't get a response. Overall, it was pretty disappointing.

I applied online and after about a month, I got an email. I sent a few emails back and forth and then I was called in for an interview. I was interviewed by the director of the department and two other employees. The whole thing lasted about two hours. It was a very nice and polite interview, a great experience overall.

The whole thing took about five months from when I applied to when I started. I got a call from the hiring manager within two weeks of applying. We set up a phone interview for two weeks after that, which was about 30 minutes long and covered my experience and some behavioral/process stuff. The hiring manager mentioned they had more people to interview but I'd hear back soon. A couple of weeks later, they asked me to come in for an in-person interview. This one was about two hours, and the questions were all over the place in terms of difficulty. The hiring manager had a lot of questions ready, and the fast pace made it tough to come up with multiple examples on the spot. They told me I was one of four people they were considering and I'd hear back soon. A few weeks after that, I met the team. It was round-table style, lasted three hours, and there were 3-4 people asking questions. The prior interview had harder questions, but this one was more stressful with everyone watching for so long. The hiring manager hinted I might get an offer. Then I was asked to meet the hiring manager's boss. He couldn't make it in person because he had to travel, so I had an hour-long phone call with him from a conference room. After that, I met with the hiring manager again to talk about salary and benefits. We even started negotiating right there, and I appreciated how upfront they were. I got a verbal offer within a week and accepted it the next afternoon.
