Sales Professional
The process has three steps. If they think you're a good fit, they move you to the next step and you meet with a higher manager.
- Could you explain what integrity means to you and why it matters in this industry?
Sales Training
After submitting the application, there's an online skills test that's pretty general, like the SAT. If you pass that, you'll have a phone interview and then a one-on-one interview. These are also pretty standard. My interviewer was pretty open about stuff like salary, which was cool. I think I didn't get the job offer because my sales approach was different from how they do things here.
- Can you elaborate on the experiences and lessons learned mentioned in your resume?
- What is your personal approach to conducting sales?
- How does your sales methodology compare to our company's established model?
Sales
I applied online and then got an email from the local recruiter to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was pretty basic. After that, I was scheduled to meet the DM face-to-face. I turned down the job though, because they required sales reps to work 11-hour shifts and had a draw vs. commission pay structure. I know from experience that with that pay setup, I wouldn't make much over $30k a year, and with the long hours, that's like $12/hour.
- Can you name three words to describe your sales abilities?
- What qualities do you seek in a company?
