I had an interview with Mattress Firm, and it was one of the worst experiences. The interviewer made it clear they have an outdated mentality about work-life balance. They stressed long hours, strict schedules, and an expectation of being always available, with no regard for personal time. The company seems to prioritize getting the most out of employees over a healthy work environment. The conversation felt more like a warning about the job's demands than a discussion about growth or development. They expect total dedication but offer little in return, like fair pay or flexibility. It's disappointing to see this mindset still present. If you value your employees and work-life balance, look elsewhere.

Had a meeting with the district manager at the store. They asked me questions about greeting and upselling customers to a better mattress. Also explained that store upkeep, like cleaning windows and bathrooms, is part of the job.

I had a phone interview with someone from corporate, then another phone interview with the area manager. The last interview was in person at the store. I was interviewing with Mattress Pro, which is part of Mattress Firm. After I got hired, they decided to make Mattress Pro another Mattress Firm store, the third one on the same street, within two months.
