Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I had 1 recruiter call initially, then 2 consultants met me separately for coffee. Finally, I met with 3 members of the leadership team at HQ. The whole process, minus a week I was on vacation and a holiday week, took about 2 weeks. The first three interviews were about me, my background, and behavioral stuff. The last one with leadership was more like a chat, focusing on how I'd fit in and sort of 'as appropriate' in the Microsoft way. Everyone was super professional and seemed like people I'd want to work with, which made picking them easy.

Behavioral Behavioral

The first in-person interview felt pretty casual. I chatted with the recruiter and someone from sales, and then later met with the EVP. That interview went fine, though I thought the sales team member was a bit much. They asked me back for a second onsite, which I agreed to. After the second onsite, the recruiter said she'd be in touch in a few days about next steps, but I never heard anything. I followed up with the recruiter again, and still nothing. Overall, I liked the people I met, but it's a total waste of time to go through a phone screen and two in-person interviews if you end up with radio silence.

Behavioral Technical

Had several in-person interviews at HQ. Met with an office manager, the CFO, and the VP of consultants. They all asked me questions about why I wanted the job, what I knew about the company, and about my past experience. Then, I met with the President for the final interview. Got the offer a week later.

Behavioral

The interview was mostly about personality/behavioral. Matisia only makes contingent offers, requiring you to commit to compensation upfront, and you only become an employee if and when you're staffed on a project. Until then, you're on an unpaid "virtual bench." While most interactions were pleasant and amicable, some leadership members acted a bit unprofessionally during the process, as others have mentioned on Glassdoor.
