Had a video call with some engineers. It was pretty relaxed, no coding challenge, mostly just personality questions. The interviewers were nice. I don't recall many technical questions.

Got a message from a sourcer asking me to connect with the recruiter. I did, and they told me there'd be a six-round interview process. They also said a coordinator would reach out later that day to schedule a meeting with the hiring manager, but that never happened. It's been about a week now, and I've followed up a bunch of times to see what's up, but still no response. Given their recent layoffs, I'm guessing this is one of those ghost jobs.

This process is a mess. There are too many people involved. It felt like there were multiple phone interviews and scheduling attempts, plus an online tech assessment. The onsite interview involved a panel of the dev team and a coding test in an IDE. After that, there were more 1:1 interviews. A lot of it was just going over my resume. The people themselves were nice, but they really need to fix this flawed process. They should give the stakeholders the power to make hiring decisions. At the very least, they should get everyone in the same room.

A recruiter reached out to me for an interview because she knew I was interviewing elsewhere. We had a phone interview, and she promptly set up a video interview with the team and the director for two days later. The first 30 minutes involved a chat with two team members, followed by the last 30 minutes with the director. They asked general job-related questions and discussed the role. A week later, the recruiter emailed me to say they were proceeding with other candidates.
